One of the most thoughtful things you can do for those you leave behind is to
define your wishes with respect to your arrangements. We will work closely with
you to identify the things that are important to you, so your closest loved
ones will not have to make these decisions.

Welcome to the Belk Funeral Home Website

The Belk Family - Serving Our Community for Three Generations
Belk Funeral Home was founded by the late Marion C. Belk, Frankie Oliver Belk,
and Harold L. King. Marion took a vacant century old home and did an extensive
renovation, and opened the doors in April, 1961.
Today, the Belk Funeral Home is proud to continue the tradition of over 40 years
of personal and compassionate service to the Pee Dee area community. We are a
family owned, independent firm, with three generations of our family helping
yours in their time of need. We have two locations, one in Darlington and one
in Lamar, so we can serve your family to our utmost ability. We are here
to provide for your needs. If you have questions about our services, or
would like to discuss planning ahead, we can help you. Please feel free to
contact us.

Marion C. Belk was born in St. Charles, a son of M.C. Belk of Darlington.
He was the founder and president of Belk-King Funeral Home and a member and
deacon of the Darlington Presbyterian Church. Marion C. Belk was in the funeral
business for over 30 years. He received his Funeral Directors and Embalmer's
license in 1948. Mr. Belk died of a massive heart attack in 1973, at the age of
46. His son, Marion Sidney Belk, and wife, Frankie Belk, took over the funeral
home.

Marion Sidney Belk, and Marion Curry Belk II, Sidney's son followed in our
Founder's footsteps. For three generations, the Belk family proudly provide
care and service to families in the community. In 2003, a third generation of
