Wayne Charles Skidmore,68, of Lamar passed away on Wednesday July 26, 2023. Wayne was born March 19,1955 to Robert M. Watford, Sr. and the late Patricia Willis Watford in Wyandot, Michigan. He worked the majority of his life in the Steel Industries in manufacturing.
He leaves behind his loving family, daughter Crystal Skidmore of Hopkins. His beloved grandchildren Heidi McNeil of Florence, Chasity Skidmore of Darlington, Malika Depugh, and Melika Depugh of Hopkins along with 2 great grandchildren Bella Contee and Da’mari Depugh and is brother Robert “Bert” Watford, Jr.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother Steven Skidmore, grand-mother Elsie Willis, and great-grandchild Kaiden Depugh.
Wayne loved to make people laugh and smile and enjoyed spending time with his family. Playing and aggravating his grandkids. He will be missed dearly by those that loved him.
A visitation will be held Sunday July 30th in The Belk Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar from 3 to 4 pm. Funeral services will be immediately following at 4 pm graveside in the Lamar Cemetery conducted by Belk Funeral Home.
