Rebecca was born Annis Rebecca Cason on April 16, 1931. She was a daughter of the late James Madison and Rosa Gaskin Cason. She grew up partly in Columbia but later moved to Darlington, S.C. when she was still a child. Rebecca was a seamstress during her working years, working at sewing factories in Darlington and Florence, S.C, as well as taking in sewing in her home in Darlington. Rebecca was a Christian who loved the Lord. She made friends easily and loved everyone and everyone loved her. Her life-long best friend was her beloved sister-in-law, Azilee Cason, whom she met when they were both in the fourth grade in elementary school, and whom years later married Rebecca's Brother, Furman Cason. Azilee passed earlier this year.
Rebecca's favorite hobby was drawing and coloring beautiful folk-art pictures, which she was happy to share with many friends and family, and she also played the piano.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Craft, Jr.; her second husband, Harlan Chapman; brothers Milton Cason of Darlington S.C, Furman Cason of Cheraw, S.C, and sister Eleanor Truett of Darlington, S,C.
Survivors are her children, Annis Weatherford (Mike) of Darlington, S.C, Jesse Craft, also of Darlington, S.C, and Cindy Moore (Sam) of Florence, S.C.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Her family gives a special thank you to her Doctor and the Staff at Medford Nursing Home for the loving care she was given by them.
