Lisa Angela Stokes

Lisa Angela Stokes, age 61, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 18th from 1:00pm until 2:00pm in Belk Funeral Home Lamar. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm in Lamar Cemetery.

Lisa was born in Lamar on November 5, 1962, she is the daughter of the late Cleve Stokes, Jr. and Bennie Lee Prosser Stokes. Lisa spent her free time in the kitchen baking and finding new recipes to try out. She loved her family dearly, and always enjoyed spending time with them and her friends.

Lisa is survived by her fiancé, David Shaw Mellor, siblings, Craig (Pam) Stokes, Dawn (Timothy) Miller, Gloria (Brad) Rollins, and Marie (Myra) Crane. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Scott (Stephanie) Rollins, Wayne (Cristy) Privette, Michael (Samantha) Privette, Stacy Privette, Chris Privette, Chely Stokes, and special niece and nephews who were like children to Lisa, Anthony Privette, Trace Privette, and Alyana Miller. Her great-nieces and nephews; Colt and Ryleigh Rollins and John and Marie Privette.  Great-great nieces and nephews Carson, Paxton, Baylor, and Ellison Langston.

In addition to her parents, Lisa is preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda Stokes Sims, and Delores Jean Stokes.
