Linda Guinn O'Neal

Linda Guinn O’Neal, age 75, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. A funeral service will take place at 3:00pm in Lamar First Baptist Church on Sunday, March 26, with a visitation taking place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Lamar Cemetery.

Linda was born in Sanford, NC on August 26, 1947, to the late David M. Guinn and Jean Tucker Guinn. Linda grew up in the Lamar First Baptist Church where she served in many capacities, and where she raised her family. Linda worked with Washington Mutual/Chase for many years and also was a volunteer at the House of Hope. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially her kids and grandkids, which she loved dearly. She enjoyed traveling to visit the mountains and taking trips with her friends.

She is survived by her children, David (Tracey) O’Neal of Lamar, Debbie (William) Winburn of Florence, Pam (Kenny) Stratton of Lamar, grandchildren: Lauren, Kalyn, Hannah, Lizzie, Ben, and Bailey, great-grandchildren: Hunter, Harper, Everly, and Eliana and an abundance of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Laura (Charles) Whitaker of Pittsboro, NC and David (Claudette) Guinn of Lamar, and special friend, Ma’Nell.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her son, Phillip O’Neal.
