Libby (Miller) Howell

Judy Ann “Libby” Miller Howell of Lamar passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024.   The visitation will be held prior to the funeral at 2pm to 3pm the funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Monday, April 1st at Newman Swamp United Methodist Church with burial following in Newman Swamp Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. 

Born in Dillon County on October 2, 1964, Libby was the daughter of the late Lide and Melva Hunt Miller. She worked in retail most of her life. Libby enjoyed playing Solitaire Grand Harvest game on her phone.  She loved her canine friends, Crossroad, Bella and Lucky.  Libby attended Newman Swamp United Methodist Church. 

Surviving is her sister, Judy (Earl) Watson of Latta, mother-in-law, Catherine (Jim) Gaul, brother-in-law, James (Iris) Howell, sister in laws Cathy (Barry) Evans, and Edna Mae “Sam” Howell. Nephews, Shane (Amber) Howell, who was like a son to Libby, Cody Watson, Chris (Molly) Watson, Matt(Ashley) Miller, Jamie(Lauren) Howell, Dusty(Elizabeth) Howell,  Brad( Misty) Kempson, Joshua Phillips, nieces, Gail(Timmy) Causey, Renee Miller, Michelle(Sean) Bullard, Cindy (Steven) Byrd, April (Rodney) Watford and many great nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edgar Alan “Pee Wee” Howell, Jr., brothers: Albert “Pokie” Miller, and Little Lide Miller.

Memorials may be made to Newman Swamp United Methodist Church.
