Juan Francisco Valencia Alvarez, age 46, died from an automobile accident on Saturday, March 26, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 Thursday, March 31st at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Florence. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so from 9 AM - 5 PM on Wednesday, March 30th at Belk Funeral Home in Darlington.
Born in Mexicali, Baja California Norte, Mexico on February 23, 1976, Juan is the son of Regina Alvarez and the late Luis Valencia. He was the owner of Tenampa Mexican Restaurant in Darlington. Juan was a very skilled man who enjoyed riding horses, singing, karaoke, dancing, travelling, cooking and trying new foods. He was known to be adventurous, an “adrenaline junkie”, and a “perfectionist”. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Juan attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his mother, Regina Alvarez, he is survived by his wife, Hermila Ornelas; two sons, Emanuel Omar (Patricia) Valencia and Luis David (Aeryn) Valencia; daughter, Vanessa Valencia; granddaughter, Leia Serene Regina Valencia. He is also survived by his siblings, Lourdes Gomez, Maria de Jesus Jacinto, Maria del Refugio Plascencia, Martin Valencia, Jose Valencia, Guadalupe Valencia, and Joel Valencia.
