Joyce (Davis) Gandy

Joyce Davis Gandy, age 74 died Thursday, October 21, 2021. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Born on April 22, 1947, Joyce was the daughter of Jeanette King Davis and the late W.C. Davis. She worked as the credit manager for Ness and Sunbelt Rentals until her retirement. Joyce loved animals and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed staying at home, and taking care of people.

She is survived by her mother, Jeanette King Davis; a son, Ricky Moody; grandchildren; Haley McNamara, Jordan Gandy, Jamison Gandy, Alex (Taylor) Shoemake, Miranda (Brandon) Shoemake, Ashley Colvin; step-children, Lex (Brook) Gandy, Jeni (Jimmy) Johnson, Emily (Bobby) Colvin; a special friend, Mary “Bunny” Mozingo, who was like a daughter to Joyce; and her three loyal canines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Gandy, who died on September 27th; her daughter, Tammie McNamara; and her brother, Billy Davis.
