Obituary
Jonathan “Jacob” Segars Jacobsen Haithcock, age 34, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date. The family appreciates everyone’s thoughts and prayers during this time and ask for privacy for the next couple days.
Jacob was born in Florence, SC on November 23, 1988. Jacob worked with Pepsi for many years and then as a mechanic for Sunbelt and Darlington Veneer. Jacob was a truck enthusiast and Peterbuilt and Kenworth semi-trucks were his favorite. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and tinkering with things in the shop.
Jacob is survived by his wife, Jennifer Padgett Haithcock, his son, Jake, daughters, Piper, and Paisley, grandfather and grandmother, Jack and Kay Segars, sister, Hope Boatwright(Michael) of Jefferson, SC, his biological father, Ray (April) Rivers, and aunts, Karen (David) Hodge and Chris (Robert) Howle. He is also survived by many special friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Bernard Haithcock and Jacqueline Segars Haithcock.
In honor of Jacob the family would like you to be knowledgeable of Hemochromatosis which can be a silent life threatening disease.
Memorials may be made to the family to help towards the children’s future, 420 Racetrack Road Darlington, SC 29532.
