James “Jimmy” Lee Folk, age 76, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020.The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 at Lamar United Methodist Church fellowship hall. A memorial service will be held following the visitation at the home, 324 Deer Run Drive., directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born September 22, 1943 in Iola, Kansas, Jimmy was the son of the late Lee Folk and Ruby Young Folk. He was a 1961 graduate of Glassboro High School in Glassboro, NJ. Jimmy had a passion for pipeline work with over 60 years of pipeline experience. He worked on the Trans Alaskan Pipeline, formed Visions Pipeline from 1997-2005, and was a member of the Pipeliners Local Union #798 for 56 years. He enjoyed golf and was an avid player. Jimmy was a past member of Pitman Masonic Temple #197, past member of 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite, and a member of Lamar United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Suzanne “Suzy” Green Folk; children, Carrie (Robert) Owens, Sandra (David) Exler, Jamie White, James L. “Scooter” (Susan) Folk Jr., Darryl Folk; two step-sons, Scott Rickert and Steve Rickert; nine grandchildren; brother, Billy (Patricia) Folk; and sister, Bonnie Dawdy.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Smiley; and brother, Randy Folk.
