Jacquelin Kay (Watford) Guthrie

Jacquelin Kay Watford Guthrie, age 66, passed away on November 10, 2023. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 18th in the Belk Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Jacquelin was born in Darlington on October 16, 1957, daughter of the late Lester Leverne Watford and Shirley Oakley Watford. Jacquelin worked at Walgreens in Florida before moving to South Carolina in retail sales, she was a caregiver to many elderly and always enjoyed her time with family. Jacquelin loved to spend her free time fishing and shrimping.

She is survived by her children, Scott (Stephanie Winburn) Amerson of Lamar, Leslie (William) Eastridge of Charlotte, Jody (Roscoe Watford) Amerson of Darlington; grandchildren: Katlyn, Megan, Madison, Cheyanne, Levi, Caleb, and Tate. Jacquelin is also survived by several great-grandchildren and her sisters, Carolyn (Lang) Howell of Lamar, Ellen Weaver of Lamar, and her sister by choice, Deneice Waytovith of St. Augustine, and her canine companion, Tigger.

Jacquelin is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Guthrie, and brothers, Willie and Lester “Jr” Watford.
