Helen Moody Obituary
Mrs. Helen “Honey” Moody, age 89, of Darlington, passed away Thursday morning, August 12, 2021, at her residence.
She was born in Darlington County, loved and known by all.
Honey is now reunited with her husband of 52 years, Thomas Moody.
Honey was a devoted mother to her two children Sherril “Gee Gee” Moody and Michael Douglas Moody.
She was a loving and giving grandmother to her grandchildren and their spouses, Blair Turnage, Jonathan Turnage, Adam Buck, Kim Buck, Brandon Kemmerlin and Catherine Kemmerlin and honorary grandson Jake Jones; and six great grandchildren, Makayla Buck, Finn Turnage, Maddox Turnage, Maggie Blair Turnage, Lincoln Kemmerlin, and Annakate Kemmerlin.
Honey was a devoted member of Flat Creek Church. She was a lover of all things shopping and pretty but most of all she loved and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children’s faces, the pure joy and pride radiating from her would blind you.
She also leaves many other family members and friends who will dearly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Belk Funeral Home in Darlington S.C., Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will precede funeral services, from 10:00 until 11:00.
