Harry Willis Lambert Jr. passed away Friday, August 21, 2020.
Harry was definitely left-brained: creative, artistic and appreciated the beauty in everything. He was an artist throughout his life and he chose a career that reflected his love of creative design. His lifelong passion for beautiful things was expressed through the extensive artwork that he admired and collected especially following his retirement. In tune with Harry’s passion for art was his music appreciation - which was highly eclectic and spanned a wide range of musicians. He loved to browse record stores and find unique vinyl to enjoy.
It only took a moment to appreciate Harry’s wit and sense of humor. He enjoyed good conversations, good friendships, and an appreciation for a nice glass of wine and a Cuban cigar. With his wide circle of friends that encompassed both his personal and professional life, Harry was always willing to listen and offer encouragement.
Harry’s other passions in life was to be on the golf course or driving fast cars. He lived on the golf course as a boy in Darlington SC but didn’t pick up his clubs again until after he retired. Yet, he loved being out on the course, and, as his golf buddies can all attest, he never lost his edge and became a scratch golfer again. He loved late model High performance European sports cars and helped keep Audi, Ferrari, and Mercedes in business. He always had the kind of cars everybody wanted to take a ride!
All of his friends touched him uniquely; they represented a colorful palette that helped Harry paint a beautiful well-lived life.
