George Kelvin “Doodle” Northcutt, aged 49, died Thursday, July 8, 2021 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. Doodle was born July 17, 1971 in Darlington and raised in the Indian Branch district of Darlington County, a son of James David Northcutt and Debra (Oliver) Harrington. He worked at Campbell’s Body Shop and moved to Hartsville in 2009. He was a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church.
Doodle is survived by his wife Tammy (Hodge) Northcutt of the home; a daughter Bridgette Miller and husband Bryan of Hartsville; a son Todd Northcutt of Hartsville; grandchildren Natalia, Colby, Kaynin, and Scarlett Miller; a brother Mark Odom of Michigan; a step-father Raleigh Harrington of Hartsville; stepchildren Rebecca Winslow and her children Aiden and Tyler Winslow of Hartsville; Aaron Sikes and wife Chelcie with their children Sylas and Samson of Hartsville; close family friends and neighbors Jay Jay and Britney McGee, and Timbo Faile and Kayla Schmeltz.
He is preceded in death by his mother Debra Oliver Harrington and his beloved grandparents who raised him George Richard Harrell and Sarah Frances “Frankie” (Jordan) Harrell.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 Sunday, July 11 at Belk Funeral Home in Darlington. Funeral services will be 3:00, conducted by the Reverend Dale McCluney. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church cemetery.
