Doug Rheuark, Jr.

George Douglas “Doug” Rheuark, Jr., age 59, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. A visitation will take place on Friday, August 11th in Belk Funeral Home from the times of 6:00pm until 7:00pm. A memorial service will follow the visitation in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 7:00pm.

Doug was born in Conway on December 15, 1963, to the late George Rheuark, Sr., and Clydie Rochelle Rheuark. Doug started out his career as a Fireman at Palmetto Rural in Darlington at the early age of 16, then moved to Darlington County Fire District 3.  After some years he went to Darlington City Fire Department for ten years.  He ended his career working at the Florence Airport as a Police/Fireman until his health declined.

Doug is survived by his wife of 23 years, Tammy Rheuark, children: Joey (Tiffany) Rheuark, Matt (Amber) Rheuark, Andy (Casey) Rheuark, Katie (Josh) Lloyd and Dale Flowers. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kameryn, Autumn, Kailynn, Summer, Kendall, Blaze, Ansley, Maycie, Kade, Kole, Sailor, Noah, and Hayes.  Nieces and nephews; Melanie Douglas, William Douglas, Josh Baggs, Chitty Baggs, Jayde Baggs, and great nephew Easton Baggs.  Sisters; Kim Baggs and Angel (David) Douglas.  Along with very special friends, Codell Sansbury, Kathy Hines, and special friend Terry Baggs from Florida.
