Doris Elizabeth (Humphries) McInville

Doris Elizabeth Humphries McInville, age 79, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 on Thursday, June 23rd at Temple Free Will Baptist Church, with burial following in Swift Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday evening at Belk Funeral Home and other times at 519 N. Main St., Darlington.

Born in Darlington on March 7, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Willard Humphries and the late Myrtle Elizabeth O’Neal Humphries Chavis. Doris worked for B & B Restaurant for over 15 years and loved interacting with her customers.  She was a “collector” of things, and always enjoyed going to thrift stores, collecting lighthouses and copper gadgets. Mrs. McInville loved her family and the trips to White Lake and the Outer Banks. She was a member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children: Sandra McInville Jones of Hartsville, Russell Scott (Charmayne) McInville of Hartsville, Karen M. (William) Lewis , Andrew Christopher McInville, Timothy Justin McInville all of Darlington; grandchildren: Andrea Bryant Sturkie, Jordan Christian (Ashley) Bryant, Adam Gilbert (Rachel)McInville, Johnna Noelle McInville, Curtis Brayden Lewis, four great grandchildren, Ava, Jerzi, Korbin and Kaslyn aka, Tater. She is also survived by a brother, James (Carolyn) Humphries of Lebanon, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband John R. “Buck” McInville, Jr, a sister, Margie Darnell and brothers, Don and Wayne Humphries.
