Doris H. Davis

Doris H. Davis, age 78 died Thursday, June 16, 2022. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 20th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Swift Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born on February 7, 1944, Doris was the daughter of the late Paul P. and Daisy Mae B. Hudson. She retired from Georgia Pacific after 17 years. Doris loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of First Church of God in Darlington, and attended Saints Alive.

She is survived by a daughter, Paula Stork; son-in-law, R. J. “Joey” Stork; sons, David (Carolyn) Davis and Jimmy (Louise) Davis; granddaughter, Reiann Stork; grandsons, Dennis Stork and Hunter Davis; brother, Paul Tommy (Betty) Hudson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvis Griggs; second husband, Franklin Davis; sisters, Judy Knox and Mary Sue Burr.

The family would like give a special thanks to the staff of Ronald McNair Nursing Home for their care of Ms. Davis.
