Charlie Gainey

Charles Monroe Gainey, Jr. passed away at his home on October 18, 2023. A visitation will take place from the times of 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday, October 21st in Belk Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Sunday October 22nd in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hartsville at 3:00pm.

Charlie was born on July 24, 1979 in Darlington, son of Lynda Ann O’Neal Ham and the late Charles Monroe Gainey, Sr. Charlie was fun to be around, he had a good sense of humor and was always joking around. He enjoyed singing karaoke and being outside hunting or riding in the truck. He loved his dogs a chihuahua, Daisey and bulldog, Bubba

Charlie is survived by his mother, Lynda Ann (Davy Bryant) Ham; son, Charles Kayne Gainey; sister, Renee (Sean Johnson) Gainey; nieces and nephews, Paige (Jonathan Blake) Johnson and Payne Johnson, Lee (Danielle)O’Neal, Travis (Ashley Froese) O’Neal, and Austin (Ashlyn) Johnson. He is also survived by mother of his son, Stacey Griggs, along with several great nieces, great nephews, brother-in-law, Tommy O’Neal.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Monroe Gainey, Sr. and his sister, Luann O’Neal.
