Carol Gerringer Obituary
Carol Andrews Gerringer, 68, died Saturday May 27, 2017 in her residence after an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, May 29that the funeral home and other times at her home, 104 North Warley Street, Darlington.
Born in Florence, she was the daughter of the late John W. Andrews, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Thompson Andrews. Mrs. Gerringer graduated from Betty Stevens School of Cosmetology and was a hairdresser for over 40 years. She had a special relationship with every client she ever had and loved her job very much. She was also a master gardener and a member of Darlington Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Gerringer is survived by her husband, Daryl S. Gerringer of the home; two sons, Jason A. Smith and his wife, Laura Langley Smith, and Brandon Smith and his partner, Kye Owens, all of Darlington; two grandchildren, Graceanna Lucas Smith and Langley Brandon Smith; a sister, Mrs. William F. (Becky) Early, Jr of Darlington; two brothers, John W. (Patsy) Andrews,III, of Florence and J. Alan (Teresa) Andrews of Darlington; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
