Mr. Flowers was born in Badin, NC on August 28, 1929 to the late Henry Walton Flowers and Effie Oliver Flowers.  He moved to Florence shortly after birth where he remained for the rest of his life.  After graduating from McClenaghan High School, he served in the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1956.  Upon returning to Florence, he worked for Col. He is survived by his sons, Vince Flowers, Keith (Elizabeth) Flowers and his grandchildren Henry and Grayson Flowers and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  Also surviving him are his brothers Jackie (Kate) Flowers and Jody (Janet) Oliver.  He is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Anita D. Flowers, and sibling Virginia Turnage and Kenneth Flowers.

The family extends sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at The Manor for their compassionate care during his residency.
