Billie Ann was born on November 17, 1942 to the late Buck William Davis and Anna Lee Hutchinson Davis. This beautiful baby girl was endowed by her Creator with many gifts that would be defined throughout the next 80 years. She was always singing, and at a very young age she began to play the piano, and her talent was quickly realized by her piano teacher, Mrs. L.W. Coker. She attended St. John’s High School and was a singer in the chorus under the director of Mr. Giles Salvo. Her first employment was with R.B. Pond Construction as a secretary. She made plans to enter nursing school but met and married Willis Williams who had moved to Darlington from Kentucky. Billie Anne’s great desire to become a nurse was never realized although she was always known for her love of nurturing others.  Willie and Billie Ann were blessed with three children; two sons, Michael and Jamie, and a precious angel, their little girl, Susan Jeannyne, who lived only three months. Billie Ann purchased the Park Florist in the 1970s and became the successful owner/operator for many years as a gifted and very well-known florist. Mrs. Williams’ love of the Lord was always most important, and she was a beloved pianist and Sunday School teacher at Temple Free Will Baptist Church of Darlington, and later became the church secretary. After working several years as a substitute teacher, when she was 52 years old she entered Coker College and graduated; then began her amazing career as an outstanding teacher at Darlington Middle School for twelve years. Upon retirement from teaching, she became employed by Timmons Waste Service as a secretary. Billie Ann will be loved and remembered by all who knew her. She was a lifelong dedicated member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael, and Jamie Williams; adopted son, Philip Schewier; sister, Sara Marie Jones; grandson, Zachary Michael (Brianna) Williams, and great-grandchildren, Brayslee Shae Williams and Colton Michael Williams and her nephew, L. Jeth Jones and her sister-in-law, Jackie Coker, and nephews, Matt and Mark Coker.

In addition to her parents, Billie Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Willis “Willie” Williams, and an infant daughter, Susan Williams.

Memorials may be made to the Temple Ladies Auxiliary Missions at 1660 N. Governor Williams Hwy. Darlington, SC 29540.
