Betty Swann Obituary

Betty Jean Swann, age 86, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. The family will host a memorial family reunion in the First Church of God Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 22 at 12:00 noon.

Betty Jean was born in Darlington, SC on July 10, 1936. She is the daughter of the late Edward Kenneth Swann and Thelma Trader Swann. She worked at Georgia Pacific now known as Dixie Cup for over 30 years. She was a former member of Darlington First Church of God and enjoyed spending time with family and loved crocheting.

Betty Jean is survived by a sister, Marjorie Miller, nieces and nephews: Donna Mursuli, Norma Jean Brown, Karen Bryant, Bonnie Bryant, Patricia Stephens, Glenda LeValley, and David Miller, special great nephew, Johnny Miller, special cousin, Lynn Trader Lynch, and several very special great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Raymond Swann, sister, Idelle Bryant, and a nephew, Michael Swann.
