Benjamin Daniel Boyd Hewett, age 30, passed away on August 26, 2023. A visitation will take place on September 9, 2023 in the Free Will Baptist Bible Church in Darlington from 12:00pm until 1:00pm. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 1:00pm in the church.
Daniel was born in Florence County on February 1, 1993, son of Benjamin Edwood Hewett and Pamela Stone Hewett. Daniel graduated from South Florence High School and pursued his career in landscaping. He loved all sports, especially baseball which he played from age 3 to 16 and golf which he started playing at age 5. He was a six-year letterman for South Florence. Daniel was musically inclined, he loved to play the guitar, violin, and sing. He loved to go fishing, especially with his children. Daniel was described by many as a fun loving, big hearted person with a big smile and loved to be a class clown, and the center of attention. Daniel also liked fashion; he was a very snazzy dresser. Daniel was a good friend to all, a son his mother and father were very proud of and thank God for letting them have him for 30 years. The Lord was in his heart and his praise.
He is survived by his parents, Benjamin and Pamela Hewett; children, Eli Chapman, Edwood Hewett, Ella Hewett; siblings, Nóe Truncellito, Lorrie Carrano (Jonathan), Rosa Miller, Brandi McKenzie, James (Emily) Truncellito,Lindsay Truncellito, Ian Hewett. Daniel is also survived by his first love and mother of all children, Taylor Chapman, along with many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his special friends, Tyler Shane, Courtland Gwinn, Chad Leberknight, Mike Klinsky, and Daniel Evans and Ethan Lewis. Daniel will forever love his fiancé, Heather Nieto, and the entire Truncellito Family.
Daniel is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Inez Taylor and James Stone and his paternal grandparents, George Hewett and Edith Hewett.
