Barney William Manship of Darlington died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in McLeod Hospital after a long battle with Covid-19. Due to the pandemic, no services will be scheduled at this time. Belk Funeral Home of Darlington is assisting the family during this time.

Born on February 16, 1944, Barney was the son of the late Ralph H. Manship, Sr. and Margaret Hobson Manship. He was employed with Perfection Gear and enjoyed spending time at the flea market in Florence....

Born on February 16, 1944, Barney was the son of the late Ralph H. Manship, Sr. and Margaret Hobson Manship. He was employed with Perfection Gear and enjoyed spending time at the flea market in Florence.  

Surviving are his wife, Pauline Edwards Manship; daughter, Rhonda Manship (Kenny) Pickett; three grandchildren, Donnie Hill, Brian Hill and Jason Hill. Also surviving are his brothers, Ralph Manship Jr. of Darlington, James Ellis (Fran) Manship of Aiken; and his sisters, Frances M. Kelly of Norcross, GA and Mary M. (John) Benton of Florence. His buddy was Michael Street and he loved spending time with his dogs Harry, Roger and Maxx.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Eugene Manship.
