Barbara L. Wallace, age 77 died Monday, September 13, 2021. A private funeral service will be held at Florence National Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born on March 25, 1944, Barbara was the daughter of the late Carl Norris and Viola Watson Norris Jackson. Earlier in her life she was a truck driver before and then became a beautician; followed by working as a nurse for McLeod’s in Darlington. She was known for being very intelligent, gifted, imaginative lady who had a knack for fixing things around the house, building doll houses and enjoyed working in her yards. Barbara was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Darlington.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Samuel Grady Wallace, Jr.; her three sons ,Russ (Kammie Chisolm) Wallace, Sam (Laura) Wallace, III and John (Debra) Wallace; grandchildren, Travis, Corey (Michelle), John, Nathan, Katherine; three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Francis (Gloria) Norris and Ann Schooling.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 505 W Smith Ave, Darlington, SC 29532; or to Agape Hospice, 2182 West Evans ST Florence, SC 29501.
