Zada Louise Merideth

Zada Louise Merideth, age 81 of Bishopville passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016. Funeral service will be held 4:00pm Wednesday, July 20th in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Lamar Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4pm Wednesday at the funeral home in Lamar. Born June 14, 1935, Zada is the daughter of the late Ralph Smith and Scooter Davis Smith. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and loved doing things for others. Zada was a member of Christian Pathway in Lamar. Surviving are her daughter, Jenelle (Reginald) Bolick of Florence; her son, Dennis (Dorothy) Merideth of Bishopville; her grandchildren, Maranda (Lee) Knight, Jason (Deanna) Merideth, and Cody (Rhett) Merideth; her great-grandchildren, Joseph, Zoey, Cole, Carson, Judah Knight, and her unborn great-grandchild, Zadee Merideth; her siblings, Elizabeth Dill and Billy Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Merideth; her siblings, Willie James Smith, Melvin Smith, Willie Ray Smith, Ruby Stevens, Ethleen Watson, Nettie Outlaw, Jack Smith, and Essie Watson. The family would like to give a special thanks to McLeod Hospice and to her sitters, Monica, Wendy, and Elana for their special care for Zada.
