Wynnette Mcfaddin Fraser

Wynnette McFaddin Fraser died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House. A Memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM Friday, July 8, 2016 in Darlington Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. A private burial will be held in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born March 7, 1925 in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wheeler McFaddin and the late Bessie Higgins McFaddin. Mrs. Fraser was a graduate of Brevard Junior College and then worked for the Department of Social Services as a social worker until her retirement. After that, she became an author, publishing four Christian fiction children's books and two bio-fiction books. She was a member of Darlington Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Fraser McRee of Greenville, SC, two sons, Ladson Lawrence "Larry" (Brenda) Fraser of High Point, NC and Douglas Edward "Doug" Fraser of Florence; grandchildren: Scott (Krista Addis) McRee, Matthew McRee, Bryan (Katheryn) Fraser, Casey (Christopher) F. Nelson; great-grandchildren: Olivia, Mathias and Hawk Nelson, Adalyne, Hunter Vye, Ladson Lawrence, and Virginia May Fraser and a beloved canine companion, Miss Elly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ladson Lawrence Fraser, Sr., a daughter, Beth Fraser, her brother, Joe R. McFaddin, and a son-in-law, David Herbert McRee.
