William H. Yow

William H. Yow, age 74 died Saturday, February 12, 2022. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 16th at Dovesville Church of God with burial following at Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-3 Wednesday at the church.

Born on January 21, 1948, William was the son of the late Ervin Yow and Alma Moody Yow. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion. He was employed at Sonoco Products Company until his retirement. He loved fishing, watching Gunsmoke, football and NASCAR. William was a member of Dovesville Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, who he married on Valentine's Day 19 years ago, Vera Wilson Yow; step-daughter, Kathy (Lonnie) Howle; grandchildren, Cody (Amber) Howle, Alex (Jessica) Howle, Olivia Howle; great-grandchildren, Weston Howle, Zeke Howle and Brooklyn Howle; sister, Dorothy Marie Lewis of Darlington.

The family will be at the home of Kathy and Lonnie Howle, 308 Mont Clare Rd.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Josh Howle.
