William "Termite" Thomas Briggs

William "Termite" Thomas Briggs, age 71, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23rd at Christian Pathway Church, directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Born October 4, 1949 in Sanford, NC, William was the son of the late Norman W. Briggs and Edna Burwell Briggs. He had both worked as a car salesman and as an insurance agent. Williams worked hard, played hard, and enjoyed playing drums and singing. At the age of 62 he gave his life to the Lord. He was a member of Christian Pathway Church.

Surviving are his wife, Rose Bazen Briggs; two sons, William Shane Briggs and Thomas Kelly (Jennifer Hopkins) Briggs; grandchildren, Hunter Hopkins and Isabella Hopkins; brother, Samuel S. Briggs; step-children, William Braden (Trish) Campbell, Bradly P. (Kelli) Campbell; grandchildren, Tilman and Carlton Campbell, and great-granddaughter, Baylee Rose Campbell

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Norma and Muriel, and a grandson, Tyler Campbell.
