William "Billy" George Odom, age 74, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at McLeod Hospice House. A visitation will take place in Belk Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8th from the times of 6:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9th in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 2:00pm, with burial following the service.
Billy was born in Jerome, Arizona on September 11, 1949, he is the son of the late Jospeh Eugene Odom and Elsie Sleep Odom. Billy worked with Lazy Boy for many years, before starting his own business, Odom's Small Engines, where he rebuilt and fixed many small engines for the people of Darlington from 1983 to 2012. In his free time, Billy always enjoyed woodworking. He was a faithful member of Dovesville Church of God.
Surviving Billy are his children, Tommy (Ashley Klumas) Odom, James "Jamie" Paul Odom, Robbie (Kim) Odom, his grandchildren, T.J, Savana, R.J., and Caroline Odom. He is also survived by his siblings, Judy (Alan) Anderson, Nancy (George) Webster, Joe (Celeste) Odom, and his canine companion, Lil Bit.
In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his brothers, Gene and Donald Odom.
