William A. Bollinger

William A. "Bill" Bollinger, age 75, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 19, 2019. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 in Mechanicsville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the home, 429 South Charleston Road, Darlington. Bill was born in Wilmington, NC on September 21, 1943, son of the late George and Sarah Royal Bollinger. He worked as vice president of construction for FBI Construction Company. Mr. Bollinger was a founding member of the COOTS and an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a member of the Masons, the Shriners and Mechanicsville Baptist Church. Bill will be missed greatly by his family: his wife, Sydney Sherrill Bollinger, children: William "Billy" Bollinger, Jr., Timmy Bollinger, Chuck Bollinger all of Darlington, Ted (Lynn) Bollinger of Lugoff, Kip Moody of Darlington, Courtney (Kelly) Lloyd of KY, Sean Moody of Darlington; grandchildren: Ted (Jennifer) Bollinger, Jr., Katie Bollinger, Ryan Bollinger, Roy (Donna) Lloyd, SarahAnne Lloyd, Cameron Moody, Madison Bollinger; and a great-grandchild, Ted Bollinger III, and a brother, Jim Bollinger. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mattie Lou Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 1516 Palmetto Street, Florence, SC 29501.
