Willa Perry Allen

Willa Perry Allen, 83, died July 23rd, 2026 at her home in Florence , SC with family at her side. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 27th, 2026 at 11:00 am at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 1101 US-378, Pamplico, SC 29583. 

Willa was born July 29th, 1942, in Florence County, to the late Montague and Mary Dell Taylor Perry. She worked as a clerk at the DMV, Darlington County, SC. Willa was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church. She loved working on puzzles and word searches, and she was affectionately known to many as “Big Momma.”

She is survived by her three daughters; Lois Allen, Paula Ackermann, Teresa Benfield, grandchildren; Mikey Jackson, Drew Ackermann, Abigail Benfield, sister; Harriett Gray, brother; Lester Perry (Rose), sister in law, Susan Allen and many nieces and nephews. 

Willa was preceded in death by her parents listed above, husband, Wayne Allen , sisters; Monte Dell Willoughby, Nelda Carter, Shirley Coleman, brother; Stafford Perry, and brother in law, Monte Allen. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lamar United Methodist Church, P.O Box 555, Lamar, SC, 29069
