Wayne Malcolm Grant

Wayne Malcolm Grant, age 79, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. A service will be held August18th, 2024 at ChristPoint Church, 800 King Avenue, Florence, SC at 2pm.

Wayne was born in Richland County on December 18, 1944, son of the late James Roy Grant and Ila Janette Grant. Wayne worked in the textile industry as a manager. Wayne enjoyed being outside whether he was out in his yard keeping it presentable, woodworking, or being on the water fishing. Through Mr. Grant's passion for baseball, he coached many children over the years. Wayne loved his family dearly and always enjoyed the time spent with them. He was a member of ChristPoint Church in Florence and previously served as a Deacon at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Columbia.

Surviving Wayne is his loving wife, Mary Joe "Bobbi" Cook Grant, his two children, Adam Bryan (Bobbi Hardee) Grant and Melissa G. (Franklin "Bubba") Warren, grandchildren, Joseph Dalton (Sylvia Price) Grant, Christian James "C.J." (Sarah) Grant, Jacob Adam Grant (Kelli), GraceAnna Grant, Fallyn Warren, his great-grandchildren, Caiden Grant and Everly Grant. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra (the late Robert) Williams and his daughter-in-law, Elva M. Grant.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his son, Wayne Malcolm Grant, Jr.
