Wayne Fogle

Wayne Fogle, 82, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., passed away on Tuesday, March 18th, at home after fighting a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born in Nichols, SC son of the late Clara Fogle Carraway and the late Horace Fogle. Wayne was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and completed his Master's in Business Administration with Golden Gate University. He retired after many years of service as Vice President of Business Affairs at both Central Carolina Technical College and Tri-County Technical College. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church when he lived in Florence, S.C., Boulevard Baptist Church when he lived in Anderson, S.C. and Belin United Methodist Church when he and his wife moved to Murrells Inlet, S.C. to care for his only grandson.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Karen Stuckey Fogle of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; one daughter, Jenny Fogle Shealy (Travis) of Murrells Inlet, SC, one grandson, Walker; two sisters, Pat Chandler of Sumter, S.C. and Shirley Absher of Lamar, SC,; three brothers, Joe Fogle (Joanne) of Spartanburg, S.C., Horace Fogle (Linda) of Lamar, S.C. and Johnny Fogle (Melinda) of Murphy, NC; and one brother-in-law, Randy Stuckey (Ellen) of Darlington, S.C.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21st at Lamar First Baptist Church at 11am, with burial immediately following at Lamar Memorial Cemetery.
