Virginia Strickland Truett

Virginia Strickland Truett, age 70 died Thursday, July 29, 2021. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 4th at 11:00 a.m. in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Born on July 26, 1951, Virginia was the daughter of the late Hilton and Gevena Dixon Strickland. She worked in food service at Carolinas Hospital for 22 years and Darlington Hospital for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing on her phone, connecting with friends and family through Facebook; and she loved her dog, Bootsie.

Surviving are her two sons, Robbie (Debra) Truett and Tony (Keri) Truett; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her special nieces, Teresa Dickerson and Tina Gainey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Jerome "Buck" Strickland, Valerie Blackwell Middleton, Betty Jean Walters, and Belvann Johnson Dudley.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and staff of McLeod Hospice for their care of Ms. Truett.
