Vera Griggs Mcinville

Vera Griggs McInville, age 54, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Black Creek Cemetery. Born in Darlington on July 5, 1962, she was the daughter of the late W.S. and Frances Cagle Griggs. Vera was a devoted housewife who had also worked for AMANA, FLAV-O-RICH and Galey and Lord. She enjoyed decorating, especially at Christmas. Vera will be remembered for her beautiful voice and her love of singing. She is survived by her daughter, Stacey McInville of Darlington, her husband, Kenneth Howle of Florence, grandchildren: Ashley Humphries and Gunner Wiggins, her siblings; Diane (Bobby) Bell of Hartsville, Calvin (Annette) Cagle of Pine Ridge, Wesley (Janice) Griggs of Darlington, Gerald (Tammy) Griggs of Darlington, Clarence (Marie) Griggs and Billy Griggs, all of Darlington; and a special friend, Donna Atkinson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Danielle McInville and infant sisters, Mary Frances and Sandra. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Belk Funeral Home and other times at the home of her brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Tammy, 1057 Georgeanne Dr., Darlington.
