Velma Clark Carey

Velma Clark Carey, age 95, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. Born May 23, 1923 in Gila, New Mexico, Velma was the daughter of the late George Clark and the late Sarah Della Fur Clark. Surviving are her son, Danny Carey of Shilow, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Ruth Carey of Irmo, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jasen Hastey and Heather Smith, two great-grandchildren, and her brother, Claude Clark. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Hastey, and a son, Ralph Carey. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
