Tommy Rogers

d. March 28, 2025

Lamar

Ronald Thomas "Tommy" Rogers, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28th, 2025, surrounded by family at the age of 68.

Tommy was born in Florence, SC, to Millard "RoseBud" Donald Rogers and Janet Goodson Rogers. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of everyone he met with his warm smile, kindness, and unwavering support for those he loved. He was known for his generosity, his humor, and his ability to always make people feel at ease, no matter the circumstance.

Tommy worked at Wellman for many years, where his dedication and hard work earned the respect of his colleagues. His passion for his work and his commitment to his job left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Outside of work, Tommy was an avid quail hunter, and his love for the outdoors was matched only by his loyalty to his favorite teams—the Clemson Tigers and the New York Yankees. He took great joy in growing his garden, and he found happiness in sharing his harvest with others, always eager to give back to his community. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandbabies, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

Tommy was a devoted member of Will Of Faith Church, where he found strength and comfort in his faith.

He leaves behind his son, Scott (Michelle) Rogers of Cheraw; his daughter, Courtney (Zach) Jackson of Hartsville; and his grandchildren, Anna Burney, Joseph Porter, Tyler Draper, Cohen Jackson, Reese Jackson, Charley Jackson, and Millie Jackson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jean Rogers of Florence, and his niece, Donna Rogers Bunch of Florence.

Preceding him in death are his parents Millard "Rosebud" Donald Rogers and Janet Goodson Rogers, and his brother, Millard Donald Rogers, Jr.

Tommy's passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt, but his spirit will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Monday, March 31st, 2025, at Belk Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar from 6 to 8 pm.
