Stewart C. Chapman

Stewart C. Chapman, age 82, passed away at his residence Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born on February 2, 1937 in Wensleydale Yorkshire, England. After moving from England, he lived in the Carolinas and settled in Darlington in the early 1970s, and worked as an electrical and mechanical engineer. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, and was a knowledgeable conversationalist.

Surviving are his wife, Maureen Dunn Chapman of Darlington; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Kelley Chapman of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Peter Wilkinson of Pasadena, California; two grandchildren, Owen and Ella Chapman.

A celebration of Stewart's life will be held Sunday, July 21st from 5-8 pm at the Darlington Country Club, with the British flag being raised at 6 pm in his honor.
