Jesse Steve Vincent passed away Monday, September 8, 2025, in Darlington, SC. A visitation is planned Thursday, September 11th, 2025, at 2pm at Belk Funeral Home, Darlington. A funeral service will follow in the Belk Funeral Home Chapel at 3pm. A private burial will take place at Philadelphia Southern Methodist Church Cemetery.
Steve was born February 14, 1957, to JC Vincent and Joyce Weaver Vincent in Darlington County. He spent his career working at Nucor Steel and retired after 42 years. He loved to eat breakfast with his buddies, watch NASCAR racing, and go hunting from time to time. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his sister Rose Colvin, his brother Tommy Vincent (Ada Tobago), his stepson Eddie (Terri) Odom, his grandchildren Tanner and Helen Odom, numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece Kathryn Tarlton (daughters Hannah and Kylee) and a special nephew Bobby (Emily) Colvin (daughter Ashley). Also surviving is his best friend, Roger Taylor.
Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Wayne Vincent, sister Tammy Moody, and his loving wife of 42 years, Sherrill Vincent.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the family and friends that offered prayers and support to Steve during his recent illness.
As we honor Steve's memory, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and hold on to the love he left behind. He may no longer be with us, but his spirit will live on in our hearts. Memorials may be made in his honor to a charity of one's choice.
