Shirley Mae (Pearson) Sackett

Shirley Mae Pearson Sackett, age 89, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. A Memorial service will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 10:00 on Friday, November 19, 2021.

Mrs. Sackett was born in Rocky Mount,  NC on September 10, 1932, daughter of the late David Pearson and the late Clarine Wynn Pearson Chervinski.  Shirley retired from Florence General Hospital, and then worked for Roche Pharmaceuticals and Regis Inventory.  When she wasn't working, Mrs. Sackett enjoyed antiquing and going to yard sales.

She is survived by her children: Michael "Chuck" (Beverly) Miles of Darlington Maureen (Ron) McAfoose of Tidioute, PA, grandchildren: John (Kristi)Shoemake, Tre' (Kara) Atkinson, Rickey McAfoose ,Amber McAfoose and SGT Justin Miles, great-grands: Blake, Allie and Tate Shoemake, Walker and Neal Atkinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Sackett, her son, SGT Roth Miles and a grandson, Zachary Miles.
