Shelby Jean (Perry) Gray

Shelby Jean Perry Gray, age 87, passed away suddenly at her home in Lamar on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Mrs. Gray was born in NC on December 30, 1937, daughter of the late William "Bill"  Perry and Elizabeth Macon Perry. She retired as a customer service representative after many years of working for AT&T.  She married the love of her life Roland Bernard Gray with whom she shared 58 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.  Her grandchildren were her world.

Surviving her are  their children: Goldie (John) Spendolini, Donna (David) Pilar, Rose (Daniel) Lewis, Shelby (Richard) Montgomery and Dale (KC) Gray, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, sister Linda Dennett , and her feline companion "Butter".

Preceding her in death are her husband "Butch", her parents, grandson David James Spendolini, and her sister Wanda Thompson.
