Sharon (Curry) Boykin

Sharon Curry Boykin,67 of Lamar passed away Thursday, May 30th, 2024.   A visitation for family and friends will be will be Sunday, June 2nd at the Belk Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar from 2 to 4 pm.

Sharon was born August 3rd, 1956, in Timmonsville, SC to J.C. and Lubby Curry. She was the assistant manager of produce for Piggly Wiggly in Darlington for many years before she started working at Sonoco. Sharon married the love of her life, Terry Mitchell Boykin.

She enjoyed watching Korean movies (by reading the subtitles) while she ate her favorite Chinese food. She also loved to go on cruises.

Sharon leaves behind her daughter, Christie (Ray) Smith, grandchildren:  Zachary Allen Lee Smith, Courtney Lee Freeman, Katelyne Elizabeth Smith; her three sisters, Marie Priest, Jeanette Alexander, and Kathy (Windell) Griggs, sister-in-law, Sissy Curry, and nephews: Andrew, Stephen, and Adam Boykin, also Michael Farrell, Matthew Priest, and a niece Catie Sims.  And not to be overlooked, her furry feline friend, Candi.

Preceding Sharon in death is her parents, her husband, Mitchell, siblings Judith Curry, Calvin Curry, and Patricia Curry. Also, her cat Radar.
