Severance Myles Gladding, age 79 passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016. A memorial service will be held 4:00pm Friday, September 9th in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home. Born July 11, 1937 in Jamestown, RI; Mr. Gladding is the son of the late Severance Gladding and Marion Myles Gladding. He operated a booth at Pee Dee Farmer's Market selling ferns. Surviving are his wife, Jo-Ann R. Gladding of Lamar; his sons, David Gladding, Joe Gladding, and Scott Gladding; his daughter, Rebecca Gladding; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Rhode Island.
