Scott Alexander Hood

Scott Alexander Hood, 64 was born on December 20, 1960, in Florence, South Carolina. He was the first-born child of the late Geraldine and Alex Hood. Scott entered the gates of Heaven on December 30th, 2024, in his home in Pensacola, Florida after a short illness.

Scott grew up in Florence, South Caolina loving cars, motorcycles and anything that would go fast and do tricks! At an early age, Scott started doing mechanic work and painting vehicles in his Dad's car shops. He worked as a mechanic or painting automobiles. He also helped his Mom on their family farm when he was little. On July 3, 1989, Scott's first biggest blessing in life was born, his daughter. Then on July 14, 1991, his second biggest blessing was born his son. He always said that when his first child was born it made him turn his life around for the better. On October 16,1997, Scott began dating the person he called his soulmate, his best friend, and his better half Lisbeth Campbell. Over the next 25 years, they built a better and happy life. On April 20th, 2011, they got married in Uwharrie's in North Carolina. Just a few months later they moved to Pensacola, Florida to start their new chapter of life.

In Florida, Scott worked on many different vehicles, doing mechanical work, and painting them. Including many different 18 wheelers.  Scott loved going to the beach, kayaking, attending Mardi Gras, and going on any other adventures with his wife or any other family members who came to visit. He absolutely loved riding his minibike! That was one of his favorite things to do. He thought it was impressive when he got his wife driving one with him. He loved riding his grandson around on his with him. Scott will be extremely by all of those that loved him!

Scott was preceded in death by his wife Lisbeth Hood, his mother Geraldine Hood, father Alexander Hood, and a grandson Lloyd Guffey.

Scott is survived by his children Kayla (Brad), Zerillo, Michael (Jennifer) Hood, and Shaye (Will) Guffey, his grandchildren Madelyn Hood, Emilia Hood, James Mann, and Isabella Guffey. His sister Stacie (Charles) Ochmand, and his brothers Jay Hood and Joseph Hood. And all his nieces and nephews that he loved. Along with his very special beloved dog Nova.

A graveside service will be Saturday January, 9th 2025 at 4pm in Grove Hill Cemetery in Darlington, SC conducted by Belk Funeral Home.
