Ruth (Goodson) Flowers

Vera Ruth Goodson Flowers, age 95, passed away on July 10, 2023. A visitation will be held in Belk Funeral Home from 10:00am until 11:00am on Friday, July 14th. A graveside service will follow the visitation in Grove Hill Cemetery at 11:00am.

Ruth was born on December 23, 1927 in Darlington County to the late Walter and Belle Davis Goodson. She is the last living of five children. Mrs. Flowers and her late husband, Phillip Flowers were the owners of Darlington Tractor Co. until Mr. Flowers death. She was very active in the Pilot Club, including being the past President and held multiple District positions. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Darlington.

Ruth is survived by her twin daughters; Connie Dixon (Doug Carter) of Myrtle Beach, Bonnie Jordan of Pawleys Island, grandchildren: Jamie, Sarah, Eric, Andy, and Brian. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Flowers and a daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Pedersen.
