Roy L. Martin

Roy L. Martin, 76, of Darlington, SC passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 after a long illness.  A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Roy was born December 31, 1948.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert L. and June H. Martin.  He was a proud U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran who received a Purple Heart for his service in the Vietnam War.  He worked for the US Postal service for many years.  He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church of Darlington.

He is survived by his wife, Terry B. Martin, daughter Melanie (Charles) Hinson of Darlington, son Justin B. (Hannah) Martin of Lexington, SC.  Three granddaughters: Lily H. (Blake) Hayes of Darlington, SC, Annika Martin and Freya Martin of Lexington, SC.  His three sisters in law and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

The family will receive visitors at their home at 1004 Whippoorwill Drive, Darlington, SC on Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 7pm each day.
