Ronnie Wayne Gainey

Ronnie Wayne "Papa Dick" Gainey, age 65, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held in Belk Funeral Home on Monday, August 8 from 6:00 until 8:00pm.

Ronnie was born in Darlington County on October 8, 1956. He was the son of the late James Leonard and Frances Blaton Gainey. Ronnie worked as a carpenter for many years and loved the outdoors, puzzles, woodworking, and enjoyed spending time with people.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Cindy Gainey, son, Ronnie "Bug" (Lori) Gainey, Jr, grandchildren; Danielle (Bill) Keith, Amy "Fred" Boyer, Buddy "Budro" Kinney, adopted grandchildren, Amber Atkinson and Maurice Peterson, greatgrandchildren: Jordan Keith, Phoenix Boyer, Kalden Baker, and his "babies" Rosemary "Rosie" Burbage and Jade "Jadaboo" Burbage, siblings: Elizabeth "Lib" (Lawrence) Lynch, James "Buddy" (Roxanne) Gainey, Leon "Pee Wee" Gainey, Jesse (Brenda) Gainey, Danny Ray (Debbie) Gainey, many nieces and nephews he loved dearly and "sons of the hearts"; to many to name.
