Ronnie Hanniford

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald “Ronnie” Hanniford, beloved husband, father, and papa, who departed this life on June 23, 2026, at the age of 77. A visitation is being held for him on Thursday, June 25th, from 3:00 to 4:00pm at Belk Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow in the Belk Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00pm with internment at Grove Hill Cemetery.

Born on September 15, 1948, in Florence, he was the son of the late Gene and Thelma Thomas Hanniford. Ronald was a steadfast figure to those who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by his family and friends. For many years, he owned and operated Hanniford’s Used Parts. Ronnie was also well known at Darlington Raceway for his work in the media center for over 30 years. His love of racing carried on through his son, whom Ronnie was an avid supporter of his racing career. Even though he had “retired’ from doing these things, he found a new passion and full-time “job” in being a Papa to his grandson Daniel. He cherished their snack time together. Amongst many other hobbies, he enjoyed tending to his goats and was well known as an excellent woodworker. He always rooted for The Gamecocks and Atlanta Braves and enjoyed playing golf. Ronnie was always up for a ride on his Harley with his buddies. He will be remembered for “giving the best hugs” to friends and family Ronnie is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife of 56 years, Cindy Stokes Hanniford; their son, Dange (C.C.) Hanniford; and his grandson, Daniel Hanniford. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding him in death are his parents, sister Bobbie Pate, and brother Billy Hanniford.
