Robert “Bobby” Lee DuBose, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 20, 2025. A graveside service will be held for him on Sunday, December 28th, 2pm at Lamar Memorial Cemetery. The family will have a visitation after the graveside service.
Born in Washington, DC, on November 21, 1945, to George and Annie DuBose. Bobby lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love. As a talented business owner in the pool installation industry, he also worked at Sonoco Fibers, & was a Mason. Bobby was the proud owner of Palmetto Pools, where he shared his expertise and commitment to quality with the community he served. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were evident to all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Bobby is survived by his two sons, Cameron "Cam" DuBose and Brandon "Clete" (Michela)DuBose, who carry forward his legacy of hard work and integrity. He is also survived by his grandchild Daxton DuBose and the mother of his children and caregiver Rhonda DuBose. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Janice Johnson and Brenda Grooms, who were a source of unwavering support throughout his life. Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. Robert was preceded in death by his parents: George DuBose and Annie Lee DuBose. A proud member of the National Guard, Bobby served his country with honor. His commitment to service and community extended beyond his military duty as he dedicated himself to building relationships and fostering a sense of camaraderie within both his family and local community. As we gather to remember Bobby, let us cherish the memories of his kindness, his laughter, and the love he shared so freely. May he rest in peace.
